Your direct booking website, alongside Airbnb and Booking.com
For hosts who already list on Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or other channels and also want a channel of their own, without leaving the platforms.
You don't have to leave your listings
Your Direct Website is one more channel. Guests who already know you, repeat guests or people searching for your property by name can book with you, on your domain and on your terms. Your listings stay as they are.
One calendar for every channel
We import your channels' iCal calendars and your platforms can read your website's calendar, so a date booked in one place shows as taken in the others.
- We check availability right before confirming each direct booking
- If an external calendar stops updating, we temporarily close bookings and let you know
- It isn't real time: platforms read calendars with a delay, sometimes hours; if we detect a conflict, we tell you immediately
What syncing doesn't do
iCal only shares booked dates. It doesn't sync prices, messages or each platform's rules. OwnGuests isn't a channel manager or an official integration with Airbnb or Booking.com: you keep managing your listings on each platform.
You get paid directly
On your website, guests pay online by card and the money goes into your own Stripe account. OwnGuests charges a flat fee (€24/month or €240/year) and keeps no commission from your bookings.
Each platform's rules still apply
Each platform has its own terms on how you communicate with guests who book there. Your Direct Website doesn't ask you to get around them: it's meant for people who already know you and people looking for you directly.
Your own channel, for €99
One initial payment; then a flat plan with no booking fees.
OwnGuests is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Airbnb or Booking.com. Airbnb and Booking.com are trademarks of their respective owners; we mention them only to explain which platforms your website can work alongside.
Frequently asked questions
How are double bookings avoided?
We sync your calendar with Airbnb and other platforms that offer iCal calendars, and we check availability right before confirming each booking. If the external calendar stops updating, we temporarily close bookings and let you know. Even so, platforms read calendars with a delay (sometimes hours), so it isn't real-time sync: if we detect a conflict, we tell you immediately.
How do I get paid for bookings?
With Stripe, in your own account: bookings on your website are paid straight into it. Stripe charges its processing fee, which depends on the card and the country of your account (in Spain, from 1.5% + €0.25 for standard EEA cards). OwnGuests takes no commission per booking.
Who owns the domain?
You do. The domain is registered in your name and you pay its yearly renewal separately, at cost with no markup. If you leave OwnGuests, you take your domain with you.
